Reverent Simplicity
Olive Grove
Grounded · Contemplative · Liturgical

Olive Grove was composed around a single material idea: the olive branch, set across the shared table and carried into the spaces of the reception. The olive is among the oldest signs of the Mediterranean world, a mark of peace, endurance, and gathered life, and here it shapes the reception as both ornament and inheritance. The celebration is held within a disciplined material vocabulary, where restraint and continuity carry the form of the day.
"And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart." – Psalm 104:15 (KJV)
Olive & Gathering
Each table is prepared for ten guests with olive textiles, olive branches, gold candelabra and candlelight, brass votives, dark stoneware place settings, and comfortable seating carried consistently throughout the hall, giving the gathering a grounded sense of cohesion and restrained formality.
In Olive Grove, the atmosphere is shaped primarily through the table itself, where olive branches are woven into each setting and carried across the full arrangement of the hall. Olive and earth-toned materials create continuity throughout the gathering, adding texture, warmth, and depth while preserving the simplicity of the space. The result is an environment that feels composed, settled, and fully gathered into itself.
The House of Chelsea prepares each gathering with steady attention and measured restraint, shaping the hall so that families feel received within the atmosphere of the day itself, and within the sense of peace and permanence Olive Grove leaves behind.
From here, Olive Grove is held within a Sacred Place: an historic Anglican church and its adjoining Parish Hall, where the ceremony, the gathering, and the additional hospitality layers are composed.
